Titre : | OPTIMAL TRAJECTORIES IN ATMOSPHERIC FLIGHT | Type de document : | texte imprimé | Auteurs : | Nguyen Xuan VINH, Auteur | Editeur : | ELSEVIER SCIENTIFIC PUBLISHING COMPANY | Année de publication : | 1981 | Importance : | 402p. | Présentation : | Couv. en coul. | Format : | 24,5cm | ISBN/ISSN/EAN : | 978-0-444-41961-3 | Note générale : | Table of contents, includes index | Langues : | Anglais (eng) Langues originales : Anglais (eng) | Catégories : | Thésaurus AAE Aéronautique (Ouvrages Généraux)
| Tags : | Flight Trajectory optimization | Index. décimale : | 629.11 Génie aérospatial : Mécanique et fonctionnement du vol aérospatial | Résumé : | This book comes in time to satisfy the increasing need for a comprehensive summary of atmospheric flight trajectory optimization studies performed in the last two decades.
The first chapter presents the methodology of optimal control theory- including the possible existence of singular arcs- to be applied in the sequel to the highly nonlinear equations of motions in atmospheric flight mechanics. Following an introductory description of aerodynamic and powerplant models, a compact vector formulation is presented. As a next step, in the core of the book, the major segments of aircraft missions are analysed in detail. A special chapter is devoted to "energy-state" models , a frequently used technique of approximation in performance assessment of modern airplanes. The last part deals with atmospheric re-entry, completing the wide spectrum of trajectory optimization problems. |
